Poppy 'Colibri Icelandic Pastello'
Colibri Icelandic Poppies Seeds - Stunning giant Icelandic poppies. Bred in Italy (by the same beautiful people who breed the ranunculus). These are specifically for cut flowers with their high yield, stunning shades, and massive flowers. In a completely different league to the standard Icelandic poppies

Lets talk about them
...
The iconic Iceland poppy - but on a large more beautiful scale.
Purposely bred by the same people who breed all the stunning ranunculus - the Icelandic poppies have been bred specifically for cut flowers.
Long strong stems, vigorous plants and just jaw droppingly stunning blooms - these are a must grow!
How to make these beauties grow
...
Sow: Autumn to early winter. 10-12 weeks before the last frost.
How: Surface sow and cover lightly with vermiculite. Bottom water as the seeds are so tiny, and you do not want to wash them away with over head watering. Poppies hate being transplanted – soil blocking recommended.
Space: 20cm
Height: 30-50cm
Where: Full sun to partial shade
Pick: Ae the 'cracked bud' stage. Searing the ends in boiling water for 20 seconds is essential
Notes From The Garden
...
Poppies are particularly prone to dampening off in the early seedling stage.
I'll make a soil block mix using seed raising mix and coconut mix (no compost).
Poppies hate being transplanted to soil blocking recommended.
